SHOULD DOGS BE KEPT ON THEIR LEADS?

I’m very sorry we haven’t had much chance to do our writing challenges. However, this week I thought we could do a challenge based on the work we have been doing around debates.

Canine educationShould dogs always be kept on leads in all public places?

What do you think?

  1. yes i think dogs should be kept on leads because people might be allergic to them also they could get lost and run away.
(you could never know what will happen if dogs are not on leads)

  2. Should dogs be kept on their leads?
Lots of people have been complaining about dogs running free and lots of dogs are getting lost. (Due to them running off)
Overall I think it should be up to the owners to weather they keep their dog on their lead or not.
45% of voters think dogs should be kept on their leads
55% of voters think dogs shouldn’t be kept on their leads
    What do you think?

  3. Yes because they might run away and you might not be able to find them and someone else might find the dog and not give them back. They might get really badly injured and not find a home and if they are badly injured people might not find them and they can’t take them to a vet and they won’t get better.so that is why you need to keep dogs on leads.

  4. Should dogs be kept on their leads?
Yes,I think dogs should be kept on their leads
because some people may be allergic to dogs or may have a
    fear of them.
Some people may have fearless, vicious dogs and some
innocent people have been unfortunately attacked by them.
In addition, some dog owners may not want their dogs to be on
a lead, others do. So what do you think? Should dogs be kept on their leads?

  5. Should dogs be kept on lead?
Over the past few years the Government have not been strict about keeping dogs on leads. But should they be strict? Should they make a new law on the topic? What do you think?

Some people think that attacks by dogs have overwhelmingly increased because owners aren’t keeping their dogs on leads. To add to this these days dogs are very active and may run away, becoming a stray, wild, homeless dogs in distress and leading to anxious owners.

However, some dogs won’t harm anyone and deserve to be free. Plus, most owners prefer their dog to not be kept on leads as their playful puppies need their exercise not being pulled harshly by their strangling leads.

In the end I think that dogs should be kept on leads, just to keep the community safe. What do you think?
