THE MAD MONKEY & ME

Crazy-Monkey

Well done everyone who entered the challenge last time. It can be quite difficult to leave out the word the in your stories when you think about it!

The new challenge is to write a story about an encounter you have with this silly monkey! Where do you meet? What do you do together? Is he funny or annoying? You decide. The word banned this week is AND.

The best entries need to include relative clauses and parenthesis, which we have been working so hard on this week!

Congratulations Abbie for winning ‘THE’ Challenge from last time! I was very impressed with them all!

I look forward to reading them all as ever!

  1. On a rather weird, but otherwise mysterious day I went to CBA zoo! Suddenly I saw a red,yet bold sighn saying ‘buy a mad monkey’ this is just what I needed a monkey as a pet. know one will have a monkey as a pet,but me.
So what do you think I did?
Yes that’s what I did! I bought it, also I called it Marvin the monkey. “THIS IS THE WORST DESCION EVER!!!!”
It ripped out everything even the food and TV!

One Whole day later!(I managed it)

It was actually quite good! Will I get another pet monkey?

  2. Not another trip to the safari park I thought. Traipsing around all the animal enclosures – how boring! But the day turned out to be more interesting than I ever imagined it would …

Slipping away silently from the rest of the class I headed for the cafe ( I was desperate for a ice-cream!) suddenly without warning a fluffy , cheeky monkey jumped of the roof then landed straight on my head knocking me down to the floor! The monkey , who was laughing, began pulling silly faces at me.Giggling with shock I took the monkeys hand as he pulled me onto his furry back, racing with me up the nearest tree. Swinging through the branches was awesome! ( although the branches were prickly like rose thorns). I felt like I was flying! The monkey, whilst making rude noises, started to throw berries at me! what an awesome berry fight, what a naughty little monkey! Unexpectedly the cheeky monkey gave me a huge shove out of the tree. To my surprise I landed silently on the ground right in the middle of my class group. Nobody noticed I had gone! From up in the tree the mischievous monkey gave me a little wink!

  3. One scorching hot day, I was walking to the park were the lush green grass was swaying slowly. Until I saw the most maddest monkey ever! He was wearing a bright orange t-shirt including white socks. Although, he looked like he’d been abandoned or had escaped from the zoo! The monkey, who was mad ,was sat on an old , rusty wooden bench. what could I do? What if he was annoyed, what if he hated people, what if I caught an illness from him? Thoughts ran round my head. Suddently, I had a fantastic idea! I could spend a bit of time with the mad monkey to see if he liked me or not , so I whispered “Lets be friends.” We began to walk of together but he could talk! Now that’s what you call a mad monkey! We went in the café to get a cup of warm coffee because it was a bit chilly outside. A few hours later, we both got to now each other. Yet did I know it was only me who could see him. We also went to primark to get him some One Direction clothes for him. He looked fabulous! So every day we spent time together. However we became best friends. The next day, we had a sausage roll as well as going to the park playing fetch. Just then, the mad monkey met another mad monkey friend called Polly. They found a house together plus they got a job. We had a brilliant time!

    1. A monkey who likes One Direction? He must be a Mad Monkey! However, It sounds like you enjoyed your day with him.

  4. I was walking through the loud, bustling zoo when a funny, silly monkey bounded in front of me. “What are you doing here?” I asked. But it was to late. The mad monkey kept following me. As I was going back to my car (which was a Porsche) the crazy monkey jumped in next to me. The monkey, who was now jumping in his seat, seemed to be saying “home, home!” So I drove him home. When I got home I made the monkey a bed for the night before returning him to the zoo the next night.

  5. When I was in Borneo I saw the funny proboscis
monkey who lives in the jungle whose nose was as long as a foot. (they made me laugh) . They had fat bellies, red smelly bums
( that look like strawberrys), skinny legs (like matchsticks) they were so funny! Do you know that proboscis monkeys shouldn’t eat ripe fruit (they only eat unriped fruit), because the sugar in ripe fruit causes their stomachs to bloat, which can lead to death. (This is why some have fat bellies)When they are born the fur is bright orange so the babies look funny. The proboscis monkeys Steals food (he is a thief)!

    1. I agree Ben, Proboscis monkeys are one of the strangest looking animals I have ever seen, I bet they’re even more strange in real life!

  6. Today I went on a trip to the zoo with my family, we saw loads of different animals, but my favourite was one very special cheeky CHIMPANZEE . Then I first saw him, Charile the chimp, as I named him, was swinging from a branch in a tree eating a banana with his feet. As soon as I saw him I knew I would like him. When he finished his banana , he dropped from his tree, he then started to annoy all the other chimps in the enclosure, he was throwing dirt at them, chasing the younger ones, splashing them with water, shrieking loudly at the older ones, but the thing l liked best was when Charlie came right up to the bars of the enclosure, looked right at me then blew the biggest raspberry ever in my Dads face, I almost wet myself laughing.k

  7. ARHHHH! I screamed as it came up to me. How did it get into my room, in fact how was it even in my house?
    “Oo hahah!” it shrieked.
“Ahhhh there’s a monkey in the house! ” I bellowed to mum.
Fortunately, she came rushing upstairs, to take the monkey off my bed. Then she explained its owner was in a different country when she was ready mum, since she was a veteranarian, volunteered to look after the mad monkey.

Suddenly, I realised that I would have to look after the monkey for the day… no! ‘Well I might as well make the most of the day.’ I thought. So mum left me in charge of the crazy, mad, hectic monkey.

I didn’t really know what to do with the monkey ( would you ) so I took it to the zoo. When I got there it kind of looked like was monkey sitting- baby sitting a monkey ( which technically I was ) so I let it look around . After a while I got hungry so I got some ice – cream ( bad idea ) but stole and ate it. OH NO! In a flash, the monkey went berserk. It ran around the zoo like, well a hyperactive monkey. The monkey scurried everywhere, plus
    frightened so many people.

In the end I had to call mum , to calm the monkey down, I suppose I won’t ever monkey sit again !

  8. “Do I have to go” groaned Rebecca.
“Yes, I signed you up to take care of those animals at the London Zoo for a reason” Rebecca’s mum said. Rebecca, who loves to stay inside, has been signed up by her mum to take care of the monkeys at the Zoo. She is dreading it. The day came, Rebecca had to wake up at 6:30 she wasn’t in a good mood.
One hour later Rebecca was feeding the monkeys which she was actually enjoying. She found a little baby monkey sat in the corner of the huge cage. Rebecca slowly walked over to the baby, the monkey was dirty and not in good condition. She decided to give him some food. Rebecca named the monkey George.
She has been looking after George for over 1 year. They have got up to loads of stuff together like, swimming, playing crazy golf, going to fun fairs etc. It was so funny when they went to the roller rink. Imagine a monkey on wheels. They had the best times together.
