We have had a brilliant day today. This morning, we had a visit from Dr Joanne Pledger, who talked to us about the planets in our Solar System. We then got the chance to draw a scale model.
This afternoon, we had lots of fun making balloon rockets!
Well done, everyone!
I really enjoyed today and drawing the solar system map! Also it was great fun designing and building our own balloon rockets! I’m really looking forward to tomorrow!
I loved making the rocket it was a great afternoon!
I’m looking forward to the rest of the week!
It was an awesome lesson!!!
I hope we do some more great lessons!
Wow! This looks like a great lesson Year 5! You all obviously had lots of fun learning. What I’d really like to know is how you made a rocket using a balloon? Also, what were the most interesting facts you learnt about our solar system?
I learned that Mars is red and that it is made of iron!
It was extremely fun! I especially enjoyed making our balloon rockets and ‘ launching ‘ them. We attached a balloon to the straw, which was thread through some string, tied to 2 chairs, then we let go ! it was quiet easy, though really fun and we put wings and a cone to make it go faster!
I really LOVED Steam week! I learned that Mars is made of iron
and got really messy on the art day!
